Michael Tolwin

Dr. Michael Tolwin is a distinguished psychiatrist with nearly 40 years of dedicated service in the mental health field. A graduate of the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine, Dr. Tolwin completed his residency in psychiatry at the University of Southern California. He initially worked for the Department of Mental Health in Los Angeles at a community mental health clinic. He later established a private practice that has since become a trusted resource for individuals dealing with both acute and chronic mental health conditions.

Dr. Tolwin is affiliated with numerous hospitals across Los Angeles, including Southern California Hospitals (SCH) in Culver City, Hollywood, Van Nuys, and Bellflower, as well as Los Angeles Downtown Medical Center (LADMC), College Medical Center in Long Beach, and Centinela Hospital. At College Medical Center, Dr. Tolwin manages the detox unit and frequently serves as an expert witness in the psychiatric court for LPS conservatorship and writ hearings.
